I am a visual artist from Aachen with a focus on objects and assemblages. I am working with different types of materials, such as wood, rusty metal, found objects and especially nails. In my work, rusty and
bent nails symbolise humans.
The figurative representation with different materials and often minimalist implementation is always in the foreground of my work: either with a humorous twinkle in the eye or even with a quite serious, socio-critical view as shown in the artwork on refugee issues.
The artworks are ordered by subject and chronologic. "Chronologically" does not necessarily mean that the artworks originated one after another. I often work on several projects at the same time. This is due to the substantial implementation and/or the processing of the materials. The primary idea of a work may change in the development process and lead to completely new results. The processing of the materials takes its time. For example: different coat of paint, oxidation processes etc. It often takes a long time until a work is "finished".
Other thematic focal points can be found under "Groups" (Gruppierungen).
